Community Service, Outreach and Social Action
- Pagosa Outreach Connection (POC) – The Fellowship donates to the POC. A representative of the Fellowship participates in the meetings: “The Pagosa Outreach Connection is a collaborative, multi-sector group of concerned citizens including nonprofit, business, faith-based and governmental agencies who gather weekly to screen, advocate and provide financial assistance to residents in need.” https://unitedway-swco.org/pagosa-outreach-connection/.
- Drug Testing – The Fellowship pays for drug testing for those recommended by the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Department to prevent incarceration while awaiting court dates.
- Earth Day and Climate Change – The Fellowship participates in Earth Day activities and occasionally events planned by the UU Ministry for Earth. https://www.uumfe.org/
- Care Kits – Click here to open a list of suggested items to have in a small bag in your vehicle, to give out to those individuals in need, in our community.
- Social Justice – The Fellowship contributes to the Annual Program Fund of the Unitarian Universalist Association and supports their work in the following areas: Economic Justice, Anti-Racism and Multiculturalism, Climate & Environmental Justice, Disability & Accessibility, Immigration, International Justice, LGBTQ Welcome & Equality, Reproductive Justice, and Dismantle White Supremacy. https://www.uua.org/justice
- Member Activities: Many of our members and friends are active with groups such as the Southwest Organization for Sustainability, Pagosa Farmers Market, Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership, Archuleta Seniors, Inc., Rise Above Violence, the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs, and Healthy Archuleta dba Food Coalition of Archuleta County
